What is the Caritas Volunteer Service?

The Caritas Volunteer Service makes volunteering as easy as possible for the Catholic community in London and Hertfordshire. We do this by allowing organisations and parishes to make volunteer opportunities available on our website, which people who want to volunteer can then apply for. The service is free for organisations and individuals, and is open to members of all faiths and none.

How does it work?

  • Browse through the opportunities advertised on the site by organisations and parishes
  • If you are looking for something specific, you can narrow your search by skill, location, required hours, and type of project or organisation
  • Register for a free account with us. You will then be able to send your application directly to the organisation
  • The organisation will get in touch with you to arrange an interview.

Finding the right opportunity for you

  • What interests you? What kind of organisation would you like to be a part of?
  • How would you like to get involved in your community?
  • What kind of role would suit you? Would you rather work with people or do something behind the scenes?
  • When are you available?
  • Are there skills you would like to gain or use?

If you have questions about a role, feel free to get in touch with the organisation. They will be more than happy to talk about what they do and what they need from you.

Whether you have a wealth of volunteering experience or none at all, by sharing your gifts and talents you are making a difference to your community and to the individuals you work with. Search for opportunities now.
